Curing the Root
The briar blocks are boiled to remove tannins and then air-dried on wooden racks for over ten years to ensure a dry, sweet smoke.
Shaping the Bowl
Using a sanding disk, the artisan shapes the pipe freehand, allowing the hidden grain patterns inside the wood to dictate the final form.
Carnauba Polish
No varnishes or lacquers are used. The pipe is stained naturally and polished with pure Brazilian Carnauba wax to a high-gloss finish.

Because each pipe is entirely handmade by a single artisan, a custom commission typically takes between 8 and 12 weeks to complete.
Unlike traditional shapes (like a Billiard or Apple), a freehand pipe is carved without a fixed template. The artisan follows the natural grain and plateau (crust) of the briar block, resulting in a 100% unique, asymmetrical piece.
Yes. We leave our tobacco chambers completely natural (uncoated). We recommend smoking half-bowls slowly for the first ten smokes to build a protective carbon 'cake' inside the bowl.
